If Christmas Day on Saturday fall,
That winter's to be dreaded by all.
It shall be so full of great tempest,
That it shall slay both man and beast.

From Poor Robin's Almanack (published 1663 - 1776)

btw, what do you use to tie your parcels?

Ive been using this lovely Christmassy string it reminds me of two favourite bible verses from Matthew and Isaiah

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins

Come now, let us settle the matter, says the LORD. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
